Airbrush Künstlerin | Kyiv, Ukraine
Hi my name is Zhanna Smoliarchuk.
Born in 1985 near Kyiv in the village of Schaslyve , I have been fascinated by drawing since childhood. In my last year of art university I came across an article about airbrushing it was about a great artist Mike Lavallee, which really interested me—the unusualness of drawing with an airbrush did not leave me, I was impressed. I began to wonder where I could learn it and in 2007 I tried my first introductory airbrushing lesson in Kyiv. It was interesting that I attended only one lesson where I didn't even start my first drawing, I only managed to get acquainted with the airbrush itself, make a couple of dots and swirls and that was it.
In 2017 my husband gave me my first airbrush Iwata eclipse hiline and from that moment on my difficult path of self-education began.
There were more problems than solutions, if I managed to buy an airbrush, but with paints that quest began, and so I also learned about createx paints not immediately. Of course, I started with a very limited vision that airbrushing is a stencil drawing in general and that it should be like that, until I began to see that there is such a thing as freehand, which opened up a completely different horizon in airbrushing for me.
But one day fate smiled on me and I was invited by Anest Iwata Poland to a master class, where I took my first full-fledged airbrushing lesson in my life. It was like a fairy tale, interesting and difficult because I was starting from scratch again. Three days of nine or even more hours a day were not easy, but I passed it!
I am glad that one day I learned what airbrushing is, The airbrush the magazine made the first publication about me in 2023, for which I am infinitely grateful.
I paint on various surfaces such as metal panels, motorcycles, helmets, car hoods, etc. I was very surprised and pleased with the Iwata Takumi custom microne series airbrush due to its high detail, accurate lines and ease of use - my favorite airbrush!
